Adding Images to Question Banks

Gold and Platinum users can add images to their Question Banks to make Quizzes that are even more flexible.

Silver users can use Question Banks containing images that are in the Community, but are unable to create their own Question Banks containing images.

• In order to create a Question Bank containing images, you must first create it as a Private Question Bank.
• Once you have finished adding images, you will then be able to share it in the Community, or with School or MAT colleagues.

To add images to a Private Question Bank that you have uploaded or previously created:

• Locate the Question Bank on your Dashboard.

• Open the ACTIONS menu (3 dots) and click ‘EDIT QUESTIONS’.

This will open the Question Bank editor.

• Identify the question to which you want to add an image, and click on the image icon:

• Click on ‘Browse’.
• Locate the image you want to add to the question in your files. 
  • Acceptable file types are .png, .jpg and .jpeg (but cannot have a resolution higher than 2048px x 2048px).

• Add credits and / or the source URL to the picture (which may be a licensing requirement of some otherwise free images).
• Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate permissions, rights or licences to use the image in the way you intend to use it and Carousel accepts no responsibility for any breach of copyright or intellectual property rights that may result in users adding images to Question Banks.

• Adjust/crop the picture size and/or centre it by using the zoom slider and crop area, or by manually setting the width and height in pixels (you may need to scroll down to view this).

• Click SAVE.
   

When an image has been added to a question, the image icon will change to blue:

• 
  
  To change the image, or edit it further, simply click on the image icon again.
• To delete an image, click on the blue image icon, and then select DELETE.
  
  When you are finished, simply click 'BACK TO DASHBOARD'.
• Images are now in your Question Bank, and will also appear in any Quizzes you set using these questions in the future.

To share your Question Bank containing images in the Community, or (Platinum only) allow School or MAT access:

Select EDIT DETAILS in the ACTIONS menu.

Change the Question Bank TYPE to Global, School or MAT as appropriate (see here for more on this.)
