Creating Custom Classes (PLATINUM)

If you have intervention groups or ad hoc classes, you may wish to create Custom Classes in Carousel that do not exist on your school's MIS or as class groups created by your account Admin (Non-MIS).

NOTE:  Custom Classes are not available in Analysis and will not be available for other people to assign Quizzes and Study Packs to via 'My School's Classes'.

• Navigate to 'My Classes' on your Dashboard.
• Click on the 'ADD CUSTOM CLASS' button above your list of classes:

• Enter
  • a NAME for the class
  • the SUBJECT
  • YEAR GROUP
• To narrow the list of students in view filter by:
  • name
  • year group
  • or both (e.g. 'Smith 9' will show only pupils with the name 'Smith' in Year 9).

• Tick the box corresponding to the student to select them.
• Tick the box at the top of the column between # and FIRST NAME to select all visible students:

• NOTE: Unchecking this 'Select All' box will deselect all previously selected students, not just those visible.
• Click 'CREATE CLASS' when you have selected all the students.

• Classes will appear in the 'My Classes' area of your Dashboard as 'CUSTOM'
• Select 'EDIT' in the ACTIONS menu (3 dots) to make changes to the class.
