To get the most out of Whole Class Feedback, you should first Mark the Quiz you want to give feedback on. Click here for guidance Marking Quizzes.
Whole Class Feedback (WCF) for a Quiz can be accessed in two ways:
Click the ACTIONS menu (three dots) beside the Quiz and select 'Feedback'.
OR
Click the FEEDBACK button that appears when you have finished marking a Quiz.
Every Quiz automatically generates a WCF report that includes:
- Average and top scores.
- 'What you found hardest' – the 3 questions most commonly answered incorrectly (more if there is a tie).
- 'What I found interesting' – questions and answers selected during the marking process that you found interesting and want to include in class discussion/feedback.
- The 'What I found interesting' section is where the answers you selected to INCLUDE IN FEEDBACK when marking will be displayed. You can include both student answers and model answers in this section (see here for more). Selected areas for feedback may include:
- common errors and misconceptions
- harsh or lenient self-marking
- spelling errors
- answers that may not have been written independently by students.
- Click SHOW ANSWER to display to the students the answers you selected (anonymised), offering a useful springboard for whole class discussion.
- Following discussion you then have the option to change the marking to correct or incorrect. See our article on Marking Quizzes for more on this.
