Study Packs

Study Packs are feature of GOLD and PLATINUM accounts that that puts students in charge of their own independent learning.  

Students can use the Question Banks to revise flashcards and set themselves custom Quizzes to take at their own pace.

Creating a Study Pack

• Navigate to the "STUDY PACKS" tab on your Dashboard.

• Click the "CREATE NEW" option on the right-hand side:

• Complete the three fields:

• TITLE - Give your Study Pack a name that makes it clear to your students what it contains.
• QUESTION BANKS - Here you should select which Question Bank you would like to use.
• TOPICS - Select however many topics you would to include, from just one to all of them.

For example:

• Click "ASSIGN" on the bottom right-hand side.
  • You can then assign this Study Pack to one or more of your classes, or 'My School's Classes' (Platinum only).

Your Study Pack has been created it will automatically appear in the 'My Study Packs' section of your dashboard. 

• Generate the link to share the Study Pack with your students via either:
  • The CREATE LINK icon next to the Study Pack
  • The CREATE LINK option in the ACTIONS menu (3 dots).

• Share the link with students.
• As with a Quiz, each link is unique to the class it has been generated for so ensure the correct link is shared with the correct class.

How it Works for Students

When a student accesses a Study Pack via the link provided they will have the option to:

• REVISE - by reviewing the flashcards for a topic or multiple topics.

or 

• GENERATE QUIZ - to revise and answer questions selected from a topic or topics of their choice.

• The Quizzes will display on their Study Pack menu so they can take and retake them as they would like.

• Once a question has been used in one Quiz, it cannot then be used in another until the Study Pack is reset, this encourages students to cover a wide range of questions and topics not just their favourites! 

• When they are ready to reuse and revisit topics or questions, students can reset the Study Pack  permanently removing any Quizzes to far and making all questions available again.

HELP!

I don't know if my students are using the Study Packs!

Because Study Packs are autonomous learning, you will not see the results of Quizzes students have taken but Carousel Platinum users can track usage of Study Packs, as described in this article.

All my Study Packs are in Free Text format!

As the Study Packs are revision rather than new learning they are always in the free text format rather than MCQ. You can learn more about the benefits of this here.

I've edited my Question Bank and the Study Pack hasn't updated!

A Study Pack (and Quiz) are essentially a snapshot of a Question Bank when they are created and therefore won't reflect changes made after they are assigned.  A new Study Pack should be created and shared to reflect any updates.
