Practice setting Quizzes

The DEMO class allows you to practice setting Quizzes if you don't have classes populating your account yet or if you don't want the results to show in your.

• Create your quiz.
• Select the questions.
• Assign to the DEMO class

• The Quiz will then display on your dashboard where you can then practice using the options in the action menu.

Preview Carousel as a Student

You can access the DEMO class as a student, even if you have Single Sign-On enabled. This is a great way for you to familiarise yourself with the student experience so you can answer queries and lay out your expectations.

• Create (or duplicate) a Quiz and assign it to the DEMO class
• Copy the link
• Paste the link into a new tab or window.
• Enter the name of a student from the DEMO class list to login (he class list can be viewed on the Quiz submission modal, or in MY CLASSES).

• You will be able to complete the process of:
  • REVISE
  • ANSWER
  • MARK
  • SUBMIT
• Return to your teacher account to practice marking and feedback processes for the responses you have entered as a student.

Please note: If your school has SSO- 

Demo class students are excluded from SSO - you can create a link to open in a new tab and enter the demo student's name to access a demo quiz.

You will see a HOMEPAGE button on the quiz menu.  If your real students press this button they will be taken to their homepage where they can find their assigned quizzes and study packs.  The homepage isn't available for the demo class so the HOMEPAGE button is not functional.

Prepare Whiteboard Quizzes in Advance

It is sometimes useful to prepare the questions for a Whiteboard Quiz ahead of time.  Assigning a Quiz to the DEMO class allows you to hold a Quiz without it showing in Analytics as an incomplete Homework Quiz.

• Create a new Quiz (including 'Whiteboard...' in the title can help you organise things easily).

• Select the class who will be answering the Whiteboard from the dropdown at the top of the question selection page to display the class C-Scores.  This will provide a guide to the most powerful questions to include. 

  

• Assign the Quiz to the DEMO class.
• The Quiz will be listed in the MY QUIZZES area of your Dashboard.
• Select 'WHITEBOARD' from the actions menu when you are ready to display it to your class.

• You will be shown the Whiteboard creation modal, pre-populated with the information from the Quiz.
• To collect C-Score data using the sliders, select the class who will be completing the Whiteboard Quiz.
