This article explains how Carousel's responsive flashcards work and how they encourage students to evaluate their knowledge and focus their learning.
When setting a Quiz you can dictate how the students can use the flashcards.
QUIZ REVISION MODE:
Off - Students won't have the opportunity to review the flashcards before taking the Quiz.
Optional - Students can choose to review the flashcards before taking the Quiz.
Mandatory - Students MUST review the flashcards before taking the Quiz.
Revise Topics - All the flashcards in the selected topics will be shown to the students.
Revise Questions - Only the Questions selected in the Quiz will be shown to the students.
When the students login to their Quiz with Revision activated they will see:
REVISE
TAKE QUIZ
When they select REVISE:
students will be shown the question
must select SHOW ANSWER to flip the flashcard and reveal the model answer.
review the correct answer and evaluate their answer against it.
They can select:
RIGHT - if they feel confident their answer is correct. This removes the flashcard from the pack.
NEARLY RIGHT - if they are on the right lines but not there yet, they will have the opportunity to review the flashcard again.
WRONG - if they didn't get the answer correct. The card will return to the deck so they have the opportunity to review it again.
When all the flashcards have been 'LEARNED' the students can choose to:
EXIT and take the Quiz
or
RESET DECK to start the revision process again and really master the content.
