What is MIS integration?
MIS integration connects Carousel with your school’s Management Information System (for example SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, iSAMS) allowing for automatic syncing of student, staff, and class data. Carousel integrates with your MIS using the platform, Wonde.
What are the benefits of MIS integration?
Minimal administration time - automated syncing of student, staff, and class lists saves time, especially at the start of the new academic year.
Accurate data - Carousel picks up refreshed every night meaning it will reflect the latest information in your MIS.
Security - optional Single Sign-On (SSO), using Google or Microsoft, provides greater account protection.
Efficiency - access to Student Homepages (when student SSO is enabled). Quizzes appear automatically in the student's homepage rather than you having to share each individual quiz link on a class-by-class basis, reducing teacher workload and making it easier for students to stay organised.
You may need a Non-MIS version if:
Your school or local authority uses an MIS Wonde doesn't currently support.
You operate significant numbers of classes outside the structure of your school's MIS.
Non-MIS accounts have access to all Platinum features other than student homepage (which require MIS integration and SSO).
With a Non-MIS account, staff, class and student data will need to be manually inputted or uploaded and maintained.
Can I switch from Non-MIS to MIS later?
Yes! You can upgrade to MIS integration after onboarding.
Please note that a migration fee may apply in addition to the standard MIS integration cost.
Is MIS integration available on all plans?
MIS integration is only available for Platinum accounts.
Silver and Gold accounts do not support MIS integration.
Is MIS integration available for Carousel Teaching accounts?
Departments or schools that sign up to Carousel Teaching can choose to integrate their account with their MIS through Wonde. Only staff data will be synced to the Carousel Teaching account, we request that no student scopes are approved if you are only using Carousel for CPD.
SSO is available for Carousel Teaching accounts where the school has a Platinum Carousel Learning account with staff SSO enabled.
If you are an individual Carousel Teaching subscriber, MIS integration is not available.
