Setting Quizzes and Study Packs For Classes You Don't Teach (Platinum accounts)

It is now possible to assign quizzes and study packs to classes you don't teach. This will create a quiz, assign it to a class, and place it in the Dashboard of that class's assigned teacher.

When you have set a quiz and are assigning it to a class (or classes) (see here for instructions on how to set a quiz), you now have 2 lists of classes to choose from: MY CLASSES and MY SCHOOL'S CLASSES.

MY CLASSES: this list contains all the classes that appear in your Dashboard, meaning both classes you have been assigned in your school's MIS (MIS integrated) or by your Carousel admin (non-MIS integrated) and custom classes you may have created (see here for how to create custom classes);

MY SCHOOL'S CLASSES: this list contains all the classes for subjects that are active in Carousel but assigned to other teachers, along with those teachers' names.

N.B.: Classes in MY SCHOOL'S CLASSES are listed once for each teacher who is assigned to that class, grouped together, but you can only assign a quiz to one teacher for each class. Selecting the name of one teacher in that class will automatically deselect another teacher whose name was previously selected.

Clicking in the small square in the top left brings up a dropdown menu listing all teachers who have teaching assignments in Carousel. Clicking SELECT ALL selects all classes, but where there is more than one teacher assigned to a class, the quiz will be assigned only to the first teacher (listed alphabetically). 

If you want to change the teacher for that class, simply select the other teacher (i.e. in the example below, Albert Simmons) and the first teacher (Jane Darby) will automatically be deselected.

Using the filter can narrow down the range of visible classes by typing all or part of the class's/classes' name:

With the filter on, selecting a teacher's name will select only the visible, filtered, classes for that teacher. In the example below, only Julia Estaphan's Year 11 classes have been assigned the quiz.

Selecting NONE from the dropdown menu will deselect all previously selected teachers and their classes, not just those visible.

As before, once you have assigned the quiz to a class or classes, you must click on CREATE QUIZ to complete the process. Please note that these quizzes will only appear in the Dashboard of the assigned teacher and will not appear in your Dashboard.

The same steps apply to Study Packs - just select the required classes, then click CREATE STUDY PACK.
