Creating Custom Classes (Platinum accounts)

If you have intervention groups or ad hoc classes, you may wish to create custom classes in Carousel that do not exist on your school's MIS (with MIS integration) or as class groups created by an admin (without MIS integration).

To do this, click on the 'ADD CUSTOM CLASS' button above your list of classes:

• After you have given your class a name, subject and year, you can use the filter to narrow the view of students. This can be either by name or by year, or both (e.g. 'Smith 9' will show only pupils with the name 'Smith' in Year 9).

• Tick the box corresponding to the student to select them. Tick the box at the top of the column between # and FIRST NAME to select all visible students:

• Please note that unchecking this 'Select All' box will deselect all previously selected students, not just those visible.

Once you are finished, simply click 'CREATE CLASS' at the bottom of the page, and the class will appear in your 'My Classes' list. These classes will be labelled under 'TYPE' as 'CUSTOM', and can be manually edited by clicking on the meatballs and selecting 'EDIT'.
