A Student guide to the Student Homepage

There is a new way to access and organise your Carousel homework.

NOTE: If using a shared device, make sure you log out of your Google or Microsoft account (not just Carousel) when you have completed a session.

 

Introducing your Student Homepage.

• Go to student.carousel-learning.com

• You will be prompted to enter your school name (checking the postcode may help if your school has a common name.)  Once you have logged in once, this will save on your device making it easier next time.

  Don't worry, you can choose to change school if you click the wrong one!

• If your school has enabled the Student Homepage you will be able to select your school.  
• You will then be asked to enter either your school Microsoft or School Google email and password.

• These details will be stored so if you are using a personal device you won't have to enter them each time. Remember to log out of your Google or Microsoft account if you are using a shared device.
• Your Homepage dashboard has one tab that will display the Quizzes your teachers have set for you, and one that will display all the Study Packs that are available.

• Clicking on the title of the Quiz or Study Pack will open it and you can revise, answer, review and submit as usual.  Carousel will remember where you are up to in a quiz if you need to complete it in more than one session.

• When you have submitted the quiz you will have the option to return to the homepage.

• The Quizzes will be organised by the due date so you can see what you may need to prioritise.
• You can easily keep track of quizzes where you have submitted an attempt (but may need to have another go!).
• Once your teacher has locked the Quiz it will move to the ‘past quizzes’ section - you can still revisit the flashcards to revise, but you won’t be able to attempt the quiz.
• At the top of your account, you will be able to see some really useful stats on how many questions you've answered, flashcards you've learned and how much time you have invested in your home learning for the month.

Help!

How do I find my homepage?

You will need to go to https://student.carousel-learning.com/login, or click the STUDENT login button on the Carousel website.

I can't find my school!

• Check the spelling of your school, or enter your school's postcode to help you locate the correct school.
•  Typing the key part of the school name is a good way to filter the list - for example, if you school's name is St John's High School - type 'John' and choose your school from the list (remember to check the postcode if needed!) 
• If your school haven't enabled the Student Homepage yet your school won't be on the list.  You will need to login to  your Carousel homework using the quiz link your teacher will have shared with you.

It says my school doesn't log in this way yet!

Not all schools have activated student homepages yet, you will need to use the quiz link your teacher has shared with you to access your homework.

My email isn't recognised!

If you get an error like the one below, check that the device you are on is not logged into a personal or family member's Google or Microsoft account.  If the email address in the error is your correct school email address, check that you have definitely selected the correct school.  If the error persists, please ask your teacher to contact Carousel.

I'm using a shared device!

Make sure you log out of your Google or Microsoft account (not just Carousel) when you have completed a session.  To do this you will need to click on your profile icon, and press "sign out".  Alternatively you can clear your browsing data to end your session.
